How does Alphalog connect to Interactive Brokers?
Alphalog has a direct integration with Interactive Brokers. You authorize a read-only OAuth (or equivalent) connection from inside Alphalog, and your trades stream in without any middleware.
Can Alphalog execute trades on my Interactive Brokers account?
No. Every connection is read-only. Alphalog can see your trades, holdings, and balances — nothing else. We cannot place, cancel, or modify orders, and we cannot move funds.
How often does my Interactive Brokers data sync?
Interactive Brokers syncs once per day via its Flex Web Service. Historical trades backfill on your first connection.
Does Alphalog support multi-leg options strategies from Interactive Brokers?
Yes. Interactive Brokers options trades arrive with full strategy attribution — vertical spreads, iron condors, butterflies, and custom multi-leg combos are grouped correctly in your journal.
Is my Interactive Brokers data secure with Alphalog?
Yes. All data in transit is TLS-encrypted. Direct-integration tokens are stored encrypted in Supabase Vault. Partner-integration tokens are held by our broker-connectivity provider under their own security standards. Row-level security means only you can access your data.
